Iran war fallout has ‘abruptly darkened’ global economic outlook, IMF says

The IMF downgraded its forecast for global growth to 3.1 per cent in 2026 from the 3.3 per cent it had forecast in January, but the new rate assumes the war is 'short-lived.'
